Notice I said ZERO APR. I'm talking about trying to shave a few bucks by throwing the monthly payment with zero APR in the mix. I know what I'm talking about. I have worked wholesale in the auto industry and now work for a marketing company.
If it matters at all I used TrueCar when I bought my...
Do some research with Kelley Blue Book, True Car, etc. Your location will be the variable as far as pricing goes, along with dealership taxes and fees. I'm in Houston, TX if it helps.
That sounds reasonable. I paid a little more for my 2015 S Plus 6 Speed Manual. The zero percent APR is key, just try to negotiate the monthly price to work the overall down. Of course the best thing to do would be to put like 10% down payment no matter what.
I know in Texas you have to have some sort of red reflector on the back of the car. Tail light being the usual. So tinted tail lights are not really an option for me. I'd have to put something else reflective red on the back of the car. Don't really see the point anyway, it makes the brake...
Give this article a look over. Your legs should not be straight when depressing the clutch or the brake. It's got more in it than just seating position, kind of a fun read.

You must have some crazy long legs if you feel like the seat does not go far back enough. I'm 6'5" and don't have the seat all the way back.
Do you feel that your feet are too close to the pedals or your chest too close to the steering wheel?
Nothing weird. The electronics are just protecting the engine from lugging. It's a small 4 cylinder engine, not going to shift into an uncomfortable zone.
I have 26k on my 6 speed Corolla and I have averaged 30mpg. I drive with a heavy foot and accelerate quickly so I am happy with my mileage. I'd say I do about 90% highway driving in traffic. Most trips are average speeds of less than 40mph (thanks Houston traffic)
I will say the gas gauge on my...
@Blair Where are you located and what year is your Corolla?
In Texas (Gulf States Toyota area) the only trim you can get with stick shift is the S Plus. That's why I have a 2015 S Plus.
Exhaust mods like this make me question the meaning of life. I've seen some Camaro exhausts with gigantic holes drilled in them before the mufflers (think quarter size). Pretty much the same effect, but it is not reversible. Y'all are definitely right about the power loss in our 4 cylinders vs...
It's pretty much right where the red zone is on the tach. I doubt this engine is making any more power in the last bit of the RPM band anyway so it doesn't matter that much.
I have OEM carpet floor mats in my 2015 S Plus 6 speed. The carpets are cheap, drivers mat shows wear from working the clutch.
I'd really like to invest in some Weather Tech floor liners someday. I'd like to see pictures too if someone has them.
