By splash guard, I'm guessing you mean the one underneath the front of the car. If so, you should be fine but before installing the new one, I'd wipe that area down first.

Oh, those are 9th gen parts since they're meant for the 1ZZ and 2ZZ engine. How'd you get them to fit the 2ZR in your 2010 Corolla?

I'd say get a throttle controller to get better acceleration. There's a lot of throttle lag on the stock drive by wire system since it's a computer system so the controller will eliminate that. An intake may help too.

I think it may be held on with a few bolts and then you would have to pull the cover off to release it from the clips but don't take my word for it.

I did but I can't find it anymore however this video shows exactly how it sounds: The rattling noise from the alternator bearing in that video was exactly how it sounded on mine.

I don't see any problems with downsizing your wheels since the Corolla does come with 16" wheels in other trims. Just choose what style wheel you like and and put them on the Michelin tires. You can also sell your old wheels for a good amount of money as well.

The current Corolla has a 6 speed so I bet that it will too. That's another reason why I love Corolla's, they still come in a stick! :D
