2011 Corolla - What Other Oil Can I Use Instead of 0W-20?

You're wise to use the correct oil. Engines cost thousands of dollars. With the prices I can get you for AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, you can get the best motor oil in the world at a surprisingly low price and probably lower than what you're paying now for 0W-20 synthetic motor oil. Send me a...

2008 Corolla - Burnt ATF Fluid at 100k - Course Of Action?

Any transmission fluid can be used as long as it meets the Toyota specifications, (many do). There is no need to use the outrageously priced fluid sold at Toyota dealerships. Of course, they will try to tell you otherwise. I wonder why they would do that?:laughing::)

2011 Corolla - Long Life Oil Filters?

Wix doesn't manufacture a long-life oil filter. Their oil filters are engineered for standard drain intervals only. Wix manufactures quality oil filters though. Changing oil before it's time is tossing out perfectly good oil, wasting money, increasing stress on the environment and allows...

1993 Corolla - Looking For Fender With Indicator Hole

People that work at automotive recycling yards don't tend to be too computer literate and don't usually answer e-mails. I've never had a single e-mail answered from places like that. Always call on the phone and speak to someone.

http://www.Car-Part.com is merely an Internet based database of thousands of automotive recycling yards across the country. The way to use this database is to search for whatever part you need and then call that recycling yard for more information, i.e. price, shipping, etc.

2002 Corolla - Burning Too Much Oil?

If you have the onboard computer scanned at Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, etc., (they'll do this for free), the trouble code will still be stored in the computers memory. Disconnecting the battery doesn't erase it, it can just reset the monitors that monitor the various functions of the vehicle...

    1999 Corolla - Won't Start

2002 Corolla - Burning Too Much Oil?

I suspect the spark plugs are becoming fouled with oil and misfiring. Unburned fuel being sent out the exhaust because of misfiring spark plugs will destroy the catalytic convertor. Very expensive to replace. Things will start going down hill faster from here unless the situation is...

2008 Corolla - Burnt ATF Fluid at 100k - Course Of Action?

If you don't change the transmission fluid, the transmission will fail. If you do change the transmission fluid, the transmission might last a lot longer. $2,000+ for a transmission rebuild.

    2002 Corolla/Daughter and 2011 Corolla/Wife

Welcome to the Corolla Forum! :) 1998 - 2002 Corolla's commonly have high oil consumption problems. Search the forum here and you'll find many posts about it. I would not recommend paying any money for a replacement engine that is likely going to have the same problem. A quality...
