Should I have a new clutch installed in my 2012 Corolla CE with manual transmission?

What year is it? Does it have a hydraulic clutch or a clutch cable? It sounds like if it has a hydraulic clutch that the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder could have gone bad. If you do have a hydraulic clutch check the fluid level first. If it's low look inside the car behind the pedals...

2009 Corolla S Turbo Thread Build

I just finished installing an oil catch can on my 2009 Corolla S Turbo. I also updated my HID retrofit with some new RGB halos. I also changed out my gauges as my AEM gauges just didn't fit the look I wanted. I just installed some Glow Shift gauges that allow me too change the color to match...

Should I have a new clutch installed in my 2012 Corolla CE with manual transmission?

It all depends on how you treat the clutch. Normally I would say that a clutch should last 125k-150k miles if driven properly. It depends on what you want to do. I love ,my 10th Get Corolla and even though the new 2020 Corolla looks amazing a new car will cost a lot more than a new clutch. You...

FRS wheels for 2016 Corolla LE....

I have a set of FR-S wheels for my winter tires. The wheels have a Subaru offset so you have to use spacers. I used a set of 20mm spacers and they fit perfectly. They have new studs because of the width of them. Here is a pic of the spacers. 5x100mm billet aluminum with a 54.1 hub centric bore...

    2010 aftermarket wheel

They are 20mm 5x100 to 54.1 mm bore. I bought them on eBay, just make sure that you get spacers made from billet aluminum for high quality. The FR-S wheels have a 56.1mm center bore so that's why I bought the centering rings. Just look on eBay as there are plenty of sellers.

    Save the 6 speed!

Now make it more fun on that daily drive with some nicer wheels, at least 16", some Eibach springs and a TWM short shifter. :p

    New Corolla (hatch) 2019 official

I'm the same way about the power difference. It would be nice to have but my 17 iM gets up and goes just fine. Shift points on a CVT, I can't stop laughing. Or should I say simulated shift points! The rev-matching option would be sweet to have since it can be turned off or on.

You can't replace the LED's, you can only replace the entire headlight assembly. Why would you need to replace them? They are still under warranty if something is wrong.

Increase hp on 2016 toyota corolla s

I used one for many years and they have been discussed for over a decade. I loved the results. It's not a lot different then what manufacturers do when they have different modes like ECO, Normal and Sport. It gave me much better throttle response but it doesn't add any HP. The driving experience...

Low Oil Pressure on a 2019 Hatchback XSE

I would be curious to see if it made a difference if you were to take a longer route to work and home that would allow the oil to get up to operating temp. I always did this during my very cold winters when I lived in Colorado. Since you just changed your oil again it would be a good time to try...

Low Oil Pressure on a 2019 Hatchback XSE

This is very strange to see the oil look like this so quickly. I'm curious what happens when the temps rise even though that shouldn't make a huge difference.

    2018 Corolla fuel consumption

If the 26 MPG is the computer readout it usually reads higher than what you will actually get when calculating MPG at fill-up.

Looking for recommendations for a snow tire for my Corolla s plus that has 17 inch rims 215 45 r17

I've used Blizzacks in the past too but I've found the Michelin X-Ice winter tires to be even better. They are quieter on dry roads, better in the rain and have been the top rated winter tire in most every comparison I've seen.

    Toyota Tire Rotation Pattern

I do it this way too with non-directional tires. If I have directional tires they go front to rear and rear to front.

This was true with early radial tires but not any more.

    2018 Corolla fuel consumption

How far is your commute each way? In extremely cold weather MPG will be much lower if your commute is short. What are you getting for MPG? When you say you average 26 miles what does that mean? In what way?

Looking for recommendations for a snow tire for my Corolla s plus that has 17 inch rims 215 45 r17

The tire diameter of 24.6" has nothing to do with your suspension. Going to a proper 25.0" diameter size tire won't protrude more. These are the sizes that will work on any 9th, 10th or 11th Gen Corolla and they are all the proper diameter. They will also fit even if you lower your car from...

Low Oil Pressure on a 2019 Hatchback XSE

Extremely short trips when the temps are very cold can cause the condensation and is terrible for any engine. Maybe take a longer way to work and home to allow the engine oil to warm up and burn off the condensation. The 2.0L is a new engine and might have more sensors to help protect against...

    Aftermarket Wheel Size/Tire Size

I would get 17x8 wheels with 225/45R17. If you go to 225/40R18 with 18" wheels the ride is harsher but the handling isn't better. I've tried the 18" option and didn't like it at all compared to the 17". I also think that the 18" wheels looks too big on the Corolla.

    Rim Size Fitment

It has nothing to do with the suspension being different. Toyota has been using the 215/45R17 size that is the wrong diameter since the 10th Gen. The speedometer is calibrated for tires that are 25" in diameter and is why most people install the 225/45R17 size when replacing tires. The S+ still...
