Increase hp on 2016 toyota corolla s

30hp? My opinion:
You will have to go the forced induction route. Very expensive, warranty voiding, reliability killing, and you'll still get smoked by that Fiesta ST, Veloster Turbo, Sentra Turbo, Elantra Sport, and new Civic 1.5T etc. next to you at the red light.

Some people with 10th gens have had good results with intake, exhaust and tuning the ECU through Orange Virus. I'm turbocharging my 10th gen with the kit from Turbokits.com. They've had very good reliability with people that have run 150k miles and more. They make a kit for the 9th gen & 10th gen. I would expect people could use it on the 11th gen too as it's the same engine. I had a Takeda SRI and Borla exhaust on mine when I had a baseline Dyno run done that came back at 126 HP to the wheels. Considering that my car from the factory is said to have 132 HP at the crank thats not bad. It always felt better after the mods and it would be about 140 HP at the crack for an increase of 8 HP. Some of the guys after tuning the ECU with the mods have seen an addition 15+ HP. Every little bit helps. Don't be afraid of turbocharging though, if done right it can be very reliable and the kit from TK.com is very well designed and built.

I Love Corolla's!

Look at this thread: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/1...eral-discussion-forum/1289009-stay-tuned.html

With just a simple I/H/E, he gained 9hp at the wheels without a tune. With a tune, that could easily go up plus there are many other mods that you can do to increase the power (lighter pulley, CAI, etc.). Naturally Aspirated tuning is much more complicated and you'll have to find what's best for the engine in order to make a lot of power. Forced Induction tuning is much more easier for getting more power but that's up to you to decide which you like.

Okay I don't care what others say but if you love the Corolla do what you want to it. So with that out of the way it depends what you're looking at for price range. You can rebuild the engine, add the 2011 lotus Elise supercharger on it (since they have the same exact engine). To tune it I talked to this company hat turbocharged a Corolla and they used the AEM fic 6 to tune. Some basic stuff you can do is intake, lighter wheels, and some weight reduction. It's hard knowing what you can do with a Corolla because not many have done it.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this before but there's a simple, fast, kinda cheap (considering prices for turbos etc.) way to increase your vehicle's drive experience. It's called Pedal Commander. I'm speaking from experience here; best thing I ever purchased for my Corolla. Look it up, you won't be dissapointed. That device and a front upper strut bar make a difference in the world for these cars. Good luck!

I used one for many years and they have been discussed for over a decade. I loved the results. It's not a lot different then what manufacturers do when they have different modes like ECO, Normal and Sport. It gave me much better throttle response but it doesn't add any HP. The driving experience though was much improved and being able to dial it in like I wanted was fantastic. I took mine out when I installed my turbo and the tuner said to do it before he did the final tune. I never have put it back in but I miss the throttle response of it even though the power of the turbo is much better. I miss it the most when I rev match when downshifting as it was much easier to just give the throttle a quick blip compared to now.

It's a great mod though for those that have never tried it. For those that have, they already know this.

https://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product/mwr-complete-built-engine-toyota-2zr-fe/ I'm sure if you go this route with the 12:1 compression ratio pistons, the higher flowing engine head, the higher lift camshafts, balance the rotating assembly, ceramic coat the pistons/combustion chamber and an ECU tune you should see at least 30 hp gain. Especially, if those engine mods are done with the K&N CAI, Weapon R header and the Borla muffler.

While you're at it, remove doors and windows, that'll save you a ton of weight. Just wear something warm and put on a Helmet.
I'll bet this cripples the aerodynamics of the car, though - I'd guess (and it would be just a guess) less mpg, maybe even lower top speed. (I tried running with one of the windows open - not good at highway speed, loud and turbulent - unpleasant. If my A/C goes out, I'm toast.)

But if all you want is speed off the line....

Wrap it in something cheap to compensate for aerodynamics, lol

I've once had a 94 toyota passeo with a jdm motor - I installed it, what I did to get into 3.9 seconds 0-60 rofl

Here we go, lol
removed all interior except for the cluster, driver seat, cool looking shifter and pedals only
cut out some unneeded panels and other brackets with plasma cutter
replaced all glass with plexiglass except the windshield
removed actual bumpers and few other things
removed rear wing and any extra trims and panels
removed entire hvac system
removed power steering system, so just the rack left
got cheap light aluminum rims and soft comp tires
stripped all the paint and sanded body to thin and sprayed it all black just enough, thin and wet sanded all of it.
heated springs and let drop all the way down after few awesome jumps, also shocks were topped out

I literally removed every little thing I could think of and also installed 2.5" exhaust with long header with high rpm and megasquirt 5 speed jdm mini rocket was only capable of 127 mph and 3.9 seconds 0-60 mph was lod as formula f1 about passing by, ran her around redline allot and never gave up.

This is literally the best way to play on the streets and quickly outrun everything light to light, nos did come into play later, after that I don't know what it could do, thing was dangerous af yet it was fun af like a car/go cart.

Thing was a microzilla and rust started to eat the important support out later here in Ohio.
