2016 Toyota Corolla S Special Edition - Gas Mileage

Yeah, I get into analysis-paralysis whenever I think of it.

2016 Toyota Corolla S Special Edition - Gas Mileage

I have a 2018 LE, it gets 29 - 32 mpg. I make a lot of short trips, as well as stop and go traffic. When I reset just before a long highway drive it's in the high 30sm or even low 40s for purely highway driving, IIRC - but that fades quickly as my normal driving catches up with me.

2016 Toyota Corolla S Special Edition - Gas Mileage

I've actually been pondering smaller wheels, as I understand that having more sidewall improves the ride. Does the extra sidewall also degrade the road-handling?

How do bigger wheels do that?

    radiator reservoir low

What I'd love would be to be able to tune out the fake shift points - so that the damn thing acts fully like a CVT - and also doesn't add wear doing stupid bullshit.

    Low beam headlight lamp replacement?

For a LED not lighting? WTF??!?!?!? What a bunch of assholes designed this thing.

Do you get better performance out of that?

I want to increase my New Corolla 1.8 HP...

Unless you crash. Almost all the airbags are for the front seats only.

    CVT jerking.

I've noticed that if I am going slowly without my foot on the gas - as in having almost come to a complete stop - it seems like it's pretty sensitive to the initial re-application of the accelerator. Don't know if I'd call it a jerk, but I do try to be careful at that point. I haven't noticed...

I understood the second thing I highlighted. It's that in combination with the first part I highlighted - "throttle bottle spacer added quite a bit of tourque for sure" - that I don't get. Did the torque show up without a tune, or did it need a tune before the torque would show up? Or is...

"Maintenance Required Soon" - oil change

This is to say it was dirty - some sort of dark particulate was there.

"Maintenance Required Soon" - oil change

How do you check color - can you get any out of the filler hole with e.g. a turkey baster? Or is this just what you've seen when changing the oil? When I wiped the dipstick on a white paper towel, it was already brown. In fact, that was true a couple of 1000 miles back.

"Maintenance Required Soon" - oil change

So, I took it in for the 5K maintenance, and I had them change the oil and filter using the Toyota stuff: $50.26. At that price, I'll have them do that every 5K.

The parts I've highlighted have me confused. They don't seem to go together. However, I know very little about cars. Could you explain a bit?

2020 12th gen Corolla sedan (official)

The front looks way better, specifically where the foglights are (or aren't, in my LE) - I pretty much hate how the front of my car looks.

Ditto here. It's like Toyota is making an Ipad that happens to have a car attached.

    CVT Transmission Issues ??

I know it's aggravating when you have to push people to do what they're f'ing supposed to do anyway. I'd be pretty inclined to stay on their asses, find another dealer, or start going over their head, however that is done. I guess there is some national Toyota service organization you can...

"Maintenance Required Soon" - oil change

Do I call the dealer now, or wait until it gets to 5000 miles and says "Maintenance Required"? I want to get the oil and filter changed now, I know that's extra. I do a lot of short trips, plus a lot of stop-and-go, and slow-and-go driving - plus I just want fresh oil in after the break-in...

    CVT Transmission Issues ??
