    kaizen

I have been at it again. I still have felt sheets left and the intermittent rattle from the centre console (next to my leg) never went away. I took it apart and while there is a strip of insulation on each side it does not stretch the length of the console. I stuck some felt ahead of the gear...

Should I have a new clutch installed in my 2012 Corolla CE with manual transmission?

If you like the care then yes it is worth it. I have a 2013 manual and love it. Corollas should last for a very long time.

How would I go about replacing the horn wiring harness and horn

As far as where the relay goes it should be printed on the underside of the lid of the fuse box and in the owners manual. I will not attempt to answer how to wire it in as I am not an expert.

    Save the 6 speed!

I don't have a need for a new ride, I have my 2013 5MT. If I needed to get a new ride It would be a MT no doubt. I would likely go used and as long as there out there I would try my best to get MT. If not, well, then a hard decision would have to be made as I really do not like a CVT.

    Stinky A/C remedy

I have done the Lysol thing before. It helps. I also turn the AC off before I turn the car off and it helps. I will usually turn AC off when I am a bock or half block from getting home so it has time to blow out the moisture.

Expected repairs for 2010 Corolla after 300,000 kilometers?

That is a hard question to answer as it all depends on how one drives, road conditions, location etc, etc. Just because someone in Texas has replaced 6 different things on the same model year vehicle does not mean someone in Argentina will replace the same components. Follow the maintenance...

    Long Life Brake Fluid?

Well, here in Canada it is Dot 3, at least in my manual it is. If yours calls for DOT 4 then that is what you need to use.

    Programming a 2009 Corolla Key

I had a Pontiac that I bought with one key fob. I bought the same one on Ebay for cheap. However you will have to have the dealer program it. There should be a serial number or model number identifying the key. You want to buy the same one and then have it programmed.

    Long Life Brake Fluid?

Corolla use DOT 3. I know you can use DOT 4 with no issues, not sure about going up to DOT 5. Sorta like fuel you can use premium if you want but not necessary, however if you car calls for premium fuel you can go down. Same with brake fluid if the manual calls for DOT 4 you can't use DOT 3.

    Long Life Brake Fluid?

JobCF you need to check moisture content not colour. There are tools you can get to check the moisture. I got one off eBay.

    2016 corolla leak

do you have a sunroof? If you do the drain hoses may be disconnected or plugged up. If no sunroof then there is an in somewhere. I had a Cavalier that got water in the trunk from the wheel. The wheel was kicking up water and it was getting in the air vent just behind it and getting in the trunk...

    Long Life Brake Fluid?

Brake fluid is hydroscopic, which means it retains moisture. As long as the moisture content is acceptable there is no need to change. From what I can tell less than 2% moisture content is fine. If the moisture level gets too high then it rusts the inside of the break lines and cylinder and...

    Overhead console

As I'm sure everyone who has a sunroof knows the overhead console lid has factory lining in it but today I added felt lining to the side and top of the console to keep any noises at bay. I decided to do a write up on how to disassemble the unit in the event anyone wants to do the same or if the...

    recall

Years ago, I semi-regularly checked the Toyota website for the airbag recall. My VIN# would always come back as no issues. I all but forgot about it until yesterday when I opened a letter from Toyota stating my car is one of the affected. I read up on it yesterday and this Takata air bag thing...

Is rear windshield brake lamps feature available in new corolla xli 2019

Are you referring to the third high mounted stop light? I know that not all countries require it to be there. In North America by law a car has to have one. It may not be law to have it where you live and thus Toyota can save a few dollars in the manufacturing process of the vehicle. What you...

    kaizen

Well, once again I got an idea in my head. It's been a few months I guess that I have been trying to decide what to use. In the end I had this rough shape that I had made out of drift wood. I can't remember for what it was for but I repurposed it for my new idea. I started last week and shaped...

    2010 corolla le 1.8 L service intervals

If I'm not mistaken the manual simply states to restart from the beginning after the 120 thousand mark. So flip to the front of the schedule and continue on.
