I have these ratchet fasteners that would take time to loosen them up, but that's a good point. I guess I would take turns with whoever I'm driving with or come up with some type of a locking mechanism, shouldn't be too difficult.

You're right, it is a bit, I think I'm going to grind off that hitch extension, just round it up a bit. Either way it's touching that black plastic part so it doesn't really bother me much.

Hitch was around 120 from etrailer.com. Powder coated so it shouldn't rust out like the ones from U-haul.

Just curious if anyone took their 11th gen Corolla speed to the limit. I took a fishing trip (in Mexico) some 300 mi each way and was literally doing a 100 mph with very little effort most of the way there. I hear the limiter or car is capable of 115 but I felt like it had a lot more there...

Go to local autozone or another auto parts store. Ask them to read the codes, they do it for free. They'll give you a print out with the information. Google the issue, fix it, if you have a scanner reset it to clear the CEL if not unhook one of the battery terminals to clear.

Me, by putting a hitch most likely made the rear diffuser useless. I wonder if there is something I can cover it with, or attach a diffuser to the bottom of the hitch to make the air go over it not against it. Still, hitch is a way more aerodynamically better than a roof rack.

Whenever I'm hearing about these issues, it looks like the owners never received over the air updates and their firmware/update version is different from mine. I've received two over the air updates since I had the car new from 2015 so I'm hoping one of those is going to keep it from crapping out.
