Did they give you a print out saying detailing your claim and their response? Make sure you hold onto that with the audio.

Some more and clear information might be more helpful. Which "gear" were you in, what was the grade of the hill, and what speed where you at before attempting to accelerate? I don't think I can help here, but maybe the answers to these questions might help some other members help you.

Also, do you have the Eco model, did you take out dead weight (spare tire), etc? 49 MPG is amazing, just wondering if there's anything else contributing to that number.

Very true. I see a lot of people keeping their foot on the gas just to slam on the breaks at the last second before a stop light. I guess they want to waste gas and brake pads...

Try disconnecting the car battery for a minute. When I swapped out my car battery, the head unit did a hard reset (where I saw the loading screen you are showing). The only problem I've ever had with it is where the bluetooth audio stopped working, and turning the car off and back on fixed that.

I don't know what advice I can give. My phone stopped playing music over bluetooth once, but turning the car off and on again fixed it. (It was playing music, stopped, all icons and everything on both the car and phone showed that it was connected/paired.)

That too. But considering when I bought custom car mats for it, I had to choose between the CVT and automatic, I think the car body is different as well (the bottom).
