New to Forum! Almost 1 year with my CorollaS

Navigation not audible when radio is on, phone gets dropped and needs to be reconnected, bluetooth wireless freezes. I had none of these problems on my previous car with Microsoft Sync

2014 S Premium Accelerating/ Braking- Stoping Whistle Noise while driving.

A lot of that is courtesy of old fashioned port fuel injection. Just pull up next to a Honda or GM with the DI 4 pot and listen to them clack away.

2014 S Premium Accelerating/ Braking- Stoping Whistle Noise while driving.

As said, it is normal. It threw me off as well when I first noticed it.

New to Forum! Almost 1 year with my CorollaS

I have already had some crazy bugs with the infotainment system pop up on my LE. This car is not immune unfortunately. Congrats!

    speed limiter removal? how?

Why would you do that to a rental car? Someone is going to end up buying that car and is why I do not buy used cars. Doing that is also extremely dangerous as all it can take is a slight elevation and road camber change, or a sudden crosswind to cause you to loose control. If you had a tire blow...

    Which Corolla should I buy?

Yup, different strokes for different people. Just see what drives your passion and which car speaks to you.

    speed limiter removal? how?

I am not convinced the Corolla is safe for those speeds. These are not aerodynamically sculpted to be stable at high speeds. Start with brakes, body kit, and suspension before working on more speed. You may be better off getting into a 6 speed as you will have more options for beefing up the...

    speed limiter removal? how?

In stock trim, I suspect you may not want to test the upper speeds. I have had it up past 80 a few times keeping up with morning interstate traffic and it is not enjoyable. As said by above poster, I agree that the CVT may not be built to handle that type of driving.

    Which Corolla should I buy?

If you have $25k to spend, it depends on whether you want a driving experience, or an appliance. The Corolla is one damn good appliance, but it leaves the enthusiast side wanting at times. If you want a historically damn solid car, this is it. If you want something that begs to be driven and...

    2015 Corolla - Towing a Small Trailer

Big rigs with semiautomatics are going to be different as their primary objective is towing. Maybe things are different now, but VW used to have insane issues with their DSG.

    Which Corolla should I buy?

The only Corollas I have seen sell for $23k are the S premiums that have a lot of dealer add ons. With the market for these cars, you should never pay more than dealer invoice.

    2015 Corolla - Towing a Small Trailer

How well does the dual clutch automated manual handle loads over time? Cars with that type of transmission seem to develop drivability problems as they rack on the miles versus traditional automatics which can remain relatively consistent until something breaks.

Those odd looking cut outs in under the front bumper??

The difference should be more noticeable on the highway as higher speeds are where drag coefficients become more noticeable.

A/C Takes a Bit to Get Cold

Absolutely normal. When you are moving, the air is blowing over the coils. When sitting in heavy traffic, it is dealing with very hot air generated by your car and other heat sources around you.

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

The problem is that a catch can has a high potential of molesting your warranty. It may not even be legal as it could be considered to be tampering with the evaporative emissions system. The problem with dual injection is that it adds weight, complexity, and cost. It does allow the engine to run...

Thinking About Buying A New Corolla But Have Question

I will buy their PR when there is a large enough track record. In reality, toughening emissions regulations in the U.S. May eventually force manufacturers to adopt a dual fuel injection system at some point

    2015 Corolla Air/AC Question

I agree as if you are engaging your defroster, it could be engaging the compressor. If the auto climate is set at a lower than ambient temperature, it will try to cool the cabin.

2015 Corolla LE Eco rear drums brakes clicking & clunking

Pads inside of the drum? Drum brakes use shoes, not pads. Is it making these noises when you are just driving around, or does it make it when you are applying your brakes? I agree as you should find another dealer.

HELP: HIGH RPM & slow speed while driving Downhill

I believe the phenomena that you are experiencing is normal, but am not sure about the extent of it you are experiencing. We have a lot of hills around here and the engine rpms only start climbing while going down a steep hill after I have been on the brakes for a short period of time. I also...
