2015 Corolla Air/AC Question

Hey All,

I have a 2015 Corolla LE premium with 8,500 miles. I noticed today when I turn on the "front" button for the windshield, the air comes out as if the A/C was on. No other button is lit up or on. Even when I raise it to 72 degrees it still feels the same as if i had the AC on 72, just coming up through the windshield. When I switch the vents to feet or face it feels normal with no AC. Is this normal or should this be happening? Thank you so much in advance!

Auto-climate ? Front is for defogging the windshield and it overpass any other setting. It may or may not use AC, according to humidity level. Push auto again to resume normal climate control.

I agree as if you are engaging your defroster, it could be engaging the compressor. If the auto climate is set at a lower than ambient temperature, it will try to cool the cabin.
