So I finally installed the the new MAF sensor a few days ago. I have noticed a few things. First off, the engine isn't as loud as it was with the stock MAF sensor. Secondly, I've noticed that the tach almost instantly jumps to about 2500 RPM when I step on the gas. This leads to observation #3...

If those rotors are anything like my PowerStop cross-drilled/slotted rotors, you'll notice a very distinct difference in your breaking. ;)

That's the normal idle speed. What I've been experiencing for about the past year is that while stopped, with the CVT in gear, the engine idle drops to around 500 RPM. If I simply shift to neutral, & then back to drive, it returns to the normal idle speed around 750-800 RPM.

I've been having this problem for a while. I'm thinking it has something to do with the gas I've been using. When I 1st got mine, I use strictly Chevron gas. Now most of the Chevron's in my area have become Shells, thus I've switched. If I dump a bottle of Chevron Fuel Cleaner in my tank before...

I've been liking at both their RS & the Z Type kits. Lots of peeps on here have one or the other. I just dunno if I really want to add that weight... I do really like the RS spoiler though...

Since all of you say you hear this noise when you have your foot on the brakes, has anyone thought to check the brake system? Fluid level in master cylinder?

I ordered them from streetsideauto.com, but only cuz they were cheapest at the time. I got the Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Performance kit K4140. I have an S, so I have 4 wheel disk brakes. For the LE, there's a different kit which is for the front only. Much cheaper too.

So far I have an HPS short ram intake, blue LED fog lights, blue LED license plate lights, white LEDs in the cabin & trunk, cross-drilled/slotted rotors, & I painted my calipers. I also got a new Jet MAF sensor that I'll be putting in tomorrow.

For the 11th gen like ours, I've only seen 2 aside from mine. Corollas are everywhere around here though. I see at least 2 white S's like mine every day. That's why I can't wait to get my new wheels & tires this weekend! :D

the V1 has been consistently rated the top radar/laser detector for the past couple decades. There are also some interesting review videos on YouTube that compare the V1 to the Solo HD & so forth. Definitely worth a look before you decide.
