Amazon is wrong. This part fits 2009 to present. I went through the same issues when I bought mine.

I would see if I could find a set in a salvage yard to experiment on. These things are not cheap if you screw one up. The vinyl was tucked in at the mirror, so if you could get the mirror out without breaking it, that would be a good place to start. Just remember that they only sell the visors...

Ok. Might be a stupid question but, are they turning on when your in reverse? The LED's are polarity sensitive so maybe you need to rotate 180 degrees? Hey, I'm just throwing out anything that might be useful. Lol
