Check out this video, looks like few gen's behind ours and uses 1zz-fe engine which isn't a whole lot different. I don't think this engine was even built and he's running stock internals with a sc, if Matt Farah likes it then it should be good. Check it out:

super, what's your thought on alignment intervals if you don't do any modifications to your stock suspension set up. I keep getting talked into alignment job and always decline. I haven't done anything nor have any symptoms that would indicate I need an alignment. No symptoms either. Thx.

I think Nissan uses Jatco and Toyota uses Aisin for CVT manufacturers. Subaru uses Aisin as well. The first Nissan CVTs were a disaster but I heard they're all good now. I wonder if they'll last 300k, 500k miles like a lot of older corollas out there with original power train but I doubt it...

What happens if you hit the breaks, does it override engine breaking resulting in RPMs going back to normal? This has never happened to me but I live in the flat Midwest Chicago area. I would like to experience this or see this on video, is this violent to the point where you're being grabbed...

Did you make sure you've got sufficient tire pressure and equal on both fronts? Possible that some porter kid was taking it for a wash and hit a curb which may have done some damage to the front suspension. I was a porter once, I know :)

If I was to do it again I would go with a 6 speed mt. I would probably throw a blower on that thing too. IMO not really worth to do any power mods unless it’s a stick.

EFF THAT. Seems like you look wrong at those cars and cvts start to go bad. Oh why did I go car shopping hungover, why? If I could go back in time.
