Headunit/casette upgrade

#1
Hey there

I am looking to upgrade the head unit of my sister's '06 Corolla.

This is the head unit she has at the moment:

But our car is LHD.

I'm looking to buy a universal DVD/Bluetooth headunit and install it, but I was wondering what dimensions I should be looking for?

One of the most popular universal headunits in the market over here is the Pioneer AVH-165DVD.

Would such a product actually fit? Or would I need to rewire some things and perhaps even cut through the dashboard/trim in order for it to fit?

Thank you so much!

That one looks like you would need to do dash mods. Down side is the placement of the vents on this gen. of corolla. You could always talk to an audio shop and see what they can do but you might end up throwing up major $$. If you can find a double Din stereo it will fit in the stock hole.

I like to go to crutch field for this kind of thing, they have the brackets for properly mounting the unit, as well as any conversion cables required, I put a single din in my car, works great, 2004 Toyota corolla
