the myth is coming true Lol the fix is not a keyless entry. and a particular alarm company... and dismantaling the door locks .

Few possibilites:
1) Brute force. The device sends every possible code as quickly as it can to the car. But given the speed at which the car unlocks, I don't see it. Even a simple 8-bit code would take a couple minutes.
2) Inside job, someone is posting stock remote codes online and this box mimics the key once somebody looks up a VIN and saves it.
3) Keyless entry systems. They always transmit, so it is possible the person that used the box to break in walked by them prior to the crime and saved the code from their transmitting key.
If you have a Corolla (like mine) with the keyless entry, you can prevent your key from transmitting by holding lock, clicking unlock twice, and then releasing lock. You should see the red light blink 4 times. That means the keyless fob is powered off and thus not transmitting. To reactivate it, press lock or unlock.
#3 is the most likely, since most of these cars seemed high-end, but without knowing if 100% of them have push-button start, it is hard to tell (although on one car, the interior lights came on and the turn signals didn't blink until he touched the door handle, and that is exactly what a keyless entry system will do, 2014 Corolla included).
