Very high curb=scratched up bottom piece

I swear the paint on my 2014 chips like nothing I've ever owned before. My 13 yr old CRV has less chips than my 2014 corolla. And I do try not to tailgate but you can't control idiots pulling right in front of you.
Anyway, today I pulled into a parking spot and wanted to die when I heard my lower front edge scrape on the concrete curbing. That thin low strip is now dug into and scratched about 18 inches across. From now on, I will be looking for a parking spot which does not have a curb piece in front. I have the white pearl paint, do you think it wil lcost me a fortune to get this spot smoothed down and repainted? Now I'm kind of sorry I didn't go for the S model which doesn't have that lower strip to worry about, and that's where the majority of my chips are.

A picture would help on determining what to do about the damage. As for the paint chipping, it's an economy car so cheaper paint will be used to keep cost down.

When I had similar damage to my last car it was going to be about $850 to fix it. The problem is, you're likely going to have something happen again, bump another curb, deep pothole, dip coming out of a parking lot onto a road. Do you want to keep dropping that kind of cash each time? You WILL have it happen again, no matter how careful you are. No way you can at least touch it up yourself to make it less obvious, then maybe replace next time it happens?

Will post a pic from phone as soon as I can but it's acting up right now. No way I could touch this up, it's like 18" long and really dug up. Really breaks my heart, and yes, I can see this happening again very easily. Kind of a poor design on Toyota's part?

Here are pics of the damage-As I said, it's about 18 inches across the front edge. I've had this car for over a year and can't believe how easy this happened. It's going to make me very nervous from now on. Any guestimates on how to smooth down and repaint? Again, I have the white pearlcoat. Thanks for any replies. IMG_5347.JPG IMG_5345.JPG

sand it down, paint the bottom inch with black bedliner, it will look fine, and touch ups will be a breeze, under $10, did something similar to the wife's car because she apparently has depth perception issues.

That doesn't look that bad! But yeah I know what you mean that's why I went with the Corolla S Plus so I don't have to worry about that lol. But it really doesn't look that bad!

I gotta fix my botched paint job still. Clearcoat looked good ... and then it decided to pour rain 12 hours after the last coat >.< Looked decent for a week and then it flaked like crazy.

By the way, don't use the Toyota touch-up paint. It doesn't even match ... looks more like the Prius eggshell white than Super White. Next time I fix it I'm going to spray it like I should have done in the first place.
