Using Lucas Oil Stabilizer and Engine Restore Together

I am thinking about changing the PCV valve. From what I see it sits on top of the engine close to driver side. I dont believe I need a tool to remove. It looks to me if I disconnect the hose it should pop right out? This is an inexpensive maintenance item and I have no idea if it was ever changed. Should I replace it? This is the PCV valve on my 99 corolla correct? http://oi58.tinypic.com/voptnk.jpg

Update: I found my answer on YouTube. Scott this video might be a good addition to the maintenance section of this forum:

Pull it out and shake it next to your ear. If you hear it rattling then there is no reason to replace it. With that said, It's a very cheap part and I wouldn't bother putting an old PCV valve back on considering the price of a new one.

Thanks John. I did just that. I replaced the old one even though I could hear a little rattle when I shook the valve. I took a picture of the old PCV valve see first image below. To me it looked a little clogged with heavy oil residue. Additionally the rubber grommet broke off when I was replacing the valve so I replaced the rubber grommet as well. The PCV valve I removed appeared to be the original OEM valve the name Toyota was engraved on the side. I replaced with a MicroGard PCV valve from the local O'Reilly auto store.

Thanks!
