Subwoofer options?

So I'm looking to install a subwoofer and amplifier in the Corolla. I want to keep as much of the trunk space as possible since it is used a lot so i was thinking of going towards a shallow subwoofer route.

This is what I've been looking at:

Now, I haven't got an amp yet but I'll figure that out once I get the subwoofer confirmed lol. What do you guys think? Any other options would be appreciated.

Why not use one the spaces right behind the lights? It would seem to be a perfect place to put a sub and not take that much space. Only thing I can think of is to build the box so it can be easily moved so you can access the lights to change the bulbs, but other than that it would be a natural place to put the sub.
