My wife got picked up for speeding a couple days ago. She was driving her '15 Corolla S and clocked at 69 mph. She pulled into an intersection in a rural area, turned left, and was supposedly hitting 69 within a quarter mile or so.
We're going to fight the ticket based on a number of factors:
1. The pavement was damp
2. Gravel on the road she was exiting from onto the highway
3. We don't believe a stock Corolla S will accelerate enough (even with your foot on the floor) to hit 69 mph in a quarter mile or so
I'm trying to find performance data on the 2015 Corolla S (stock, no modifications) but can't find it. Toyota Corp. doesn't have this type of performance data. Only info I can find is on a 2014 Corolla LE.
Does anybody have access to publicly available data of the type I'm looking for? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Steve
