Slits or Slots?

Anyone know what the slits or slots are next to the ignition switch? They were on my Pontiac and I do believe there in every car now and I never have figured it out. It is just more curiosity on my part.

I assume you mean the three vertical lines on the dash, right behind the ignition and beside the stereo right?
I believe that's a microphone for bluetooth on your stereo.
Even if your car doesn't have the bluetooth capability I think Toyota still cut the slots in the dash as standard.

that is what I thought at first as well but I think the mic in in the headliner

The slots are for the slits, so the slots can slit, but only when the slits are slotting. :thumbsup:
