Side mirror bulb

im trying to do some research but it's so hard to find. I'm looking to change the stock side mirror bulbs to LED bulbs. But I don't know how to change it. Can anyone help me on this?

Here to the rescue! as far as I know I'm the only person who's done it. Long story short it sucks. Okay so disassemble the mirror and you should have a black and transparent housing inside of it. Its the reflector with some black plastic on it. The bulb is stuck inside and you can't remove it. I know, it sucks. so basically I ground it all out with a dremel and soldered the LEDs to the wires and then hot glued the LED in place. Yeah it sounds ghetto but it looks great! you can't tell how shady of a job it is. I'll post pics here if I remember tomorrow.

Pretty much the only way to do it. I tried mine with a heat gun and there was no way the assembly was coming apart.

Those little lights these cars bring from factory are almost not visible during daylight, I wonder why Toyota does not care for details?
