Shorted 12 volt and USB - how to fix?

#1
I shorted the 12 volt DC adaptor/receptacle when I plugged In a faulty connector of a 12 volt air pump.
Now, neither the socket nor the USB is working.
I could find the underhood fuse box, but no fuse was in the diagram for the problem location(s).
I cannot see an under dash fuse box as I used to with the 2010 Corolla.
Now, in that under dash position I see some wiring..
Can anyone tell me if I am up against a) a fuse, b) a wiring issue, or c) the receptacle itself, or
d), some combination of the above?
I read somewhere that it is likely I'll have to replace the receptacle itself. If true, is that hard to do?
Thanks, and happy holidays !

First off find the fuse box and check the fuse. If that isn't the problem take the lower console area apart, mostly snap in pieces and a couple of screws. pull the connector off the back of the 12v receptacle and test for power and ground. If no power and/or ground there is a wiring problem. If power and ground are present replace receptacle.

Thank you stvotw.
Sounds logical.
My only remaining question is whether or not there is still an under-dash fuse box.I will look again.
The configuration is def. not same as 2010 Corrolla
