Short ram intake

#1
I just installed a short hair RAM on my Corolla and everytime I step on the gas and drive it hard it seems like the engine light and traction control light comes on I've gone to the dealership and asked why they told me I need to reset the ECU I've done that and I made sure all my connections are right but it still seems like it has low compression anybody else have any issues like this.
I've cleaned the MAF sensor but do I need a bigger one?

first off that filter looks very cheap....if there is one thing you should NEVER cheap out on its the filter....i could be wrong but that doesn't look like a AEM Dryflow which i would highly reccomened you invest in, off brand filters are crap and a lot of people can stand behind me on that.... and from what it looks like you have a SPECTRE MAF adapter tube, i have the same one it works very nicely.....i have the same setup as you but I'm not using the stock intake tube, i bought some aftermarket tube and i am using a AEM dryflow.... ....and if i where you i would have left the bottom half of the original intake box inside....because it brings air from the outside into the engine bay and acts also as a heat shield......and you definitely need to build a homemade heat shield....i use corrugated plastic and foil to build a 90 degree corner piece to shield the filter from the engine heat....

and if your on a budget i would suggest removing that filter until you can get the right pieces... cause right now it doesn't look very efficient...especially with ought a heat shield, and I'm not trying to be an ass either, I'm just trying to tell you from the mistakes i made
