Radio Rebooting?

For those that replaced their radio with a factory radio from a junk yard or ebay, was the new (junked, ebay) radio plug and play or did it have to be be programed after install.

For anyone that may come across this in the future. A working factory radio will be plug and play. My original radio died. Got a used factory radio on ebay. followed a video on youtube to remove the old radio and instal the new(to me) radio. IT went through the boot screen and them to the screen to pick your audio source. am, fm, cd, blue tooth, etc. It works. no programing. plug and play.
