Radio crashing

Soooo. .. I've seen posts about radios not working bc of an update.. my 2014 Corolla didn't come with the map GPS upgrade. Judy Today my radio would freeze when I click anything after I turn it on. I would click USB mode..BT to connect my phone and nothing only thing that barely Works is the radio. Anybody else have this problem before?

I was told the update was just a map update.... Was like $300 or so...

Nothing is as bad as the 2012 focus mytouch cluster fck... Don't know how many times I was driving in the middle of a river .

Tbh I haven't tried it yet. Busy with work And yeah. Maybe I can get to it Saturday. Lol

I think this is the first non NAV 2014 head unit that I have heard of having problems. Hmmm
If you can’t get it fixed, I suggest Kenwood, Alpine, Pioneer with Maestro!

When mine went out - it started with the radio freezing. It would still play but I couldn't switch channels or use any button functions. Then I moved into the rebooting over and over issue. I'm just recommending reporting it on the NHTSA "file a vehicle safety complaint" on the safercar dot gov site (under electrical there are a lot of 2014 files). But hopefully the reset and batter trick work for you!
