Pass window did not want to coperate

Today, as I got off the highway, like to roll down the windows, wished it was an automatic for all. the Pass went down 10 minutes home. I start rolling up I feel a click.

Well something, say a crumb seed etc got between the switch and area. kept the window switch down .

I tried rolling the window up. and said hmm OVER HEATED. waited some got the window to go up stop etc. a few hours later. al lI was interested in did it go down and back up? I will take note later if it was over heated and that stopped the window?

things do happen, guess was lucky.

could be a fire hazard if something is dead shorting.
Keep yer fire extinguisher handy !

I'd usually suspect a faulty switch by your description...
but it could simply be loose connectors/pins.

Or even a faulty - soon to die regulator.
Tho' suspect switches and connections first.

A grain of sand would not likely stop that window's travel
and would more likely gouge/scratch a groove in the glass.

I planned on using this defense if viable in circumstance
against the douche whom sticks his gun thru my open window.
Might be enough to fubar his aim /or drop the dang thing.
plus... I'll drive away... so what's in my car... belongs to me.
And I've often wished I had a third hand !? Lol

My son's grandmother once rolled her car window closed on my son's wrist.
He said it hurt alot... she stopped when he screamed loudly.
Took her a few seconds to realize his capture before releasing him ! Lol
no broken bones or permanent damage...

Now my son now has a phobia about placing his hands in a car's open window !! Lol

Repeated today. So this is what I did; I went to the Pass switch it is the motor, giving out not a switch. It is not something stuck in a window it was something I thought got stuck on the switch.
SO now I have to start thinking do I work on it before winter hits?

I placed a bounty towel folded so the switch can not get pressed down, and taped it on pass & driver, window rendered DEAD till fixed.

First major issue in the car.

I will have to tear the door open, get to the motor toss voltage on it, to roll it up/down. motor is SLOW and dies, repeat till rolled.

time to loo for a new , not junk yard special. can not wait ti get the forearms cut up Lol
