I just purchased a leftover new 2018 Corolla LE. When I went to wash it the first time the paint felt like it had sand on it. I washed it by had and it still felt the same. Called service department and the manager said he has noticed this about a lot of new cars. Has anyone else experienced this.

Try clay bar. Mother's and Meguiars have excellent clay bar kits. Like 25 bucks. There videos on YouTube on how to clay your vehicle. I do my Corolla once a year. And I hand wax it 2 times a year. My paint is always smooth.

Any difference after the clay bar, Edd? I have a 2018 LE as well and didn't notice that on my paint. I havent had to clay mine yet.
