#1
Hi, I have a 2004 toyota corolla, basic package, new battery, suddenly today it refusing to crank or even make noises from the relay ike it cranks, starter relay works, all the lights come on when starting the ignition, but no clicks of he relay, no sounds that signify the starter is even getting current or anything in that circuit, only noise is from the back of the car sounding like the fuel pump is running, never had a issue starting before. Ignition switch problems? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well I am no mechanic but I have a Rolla. I wont say anything conclusive but if it is not the battery, last I checked those corolla starters are really hard to replace and I don't even know where to start on that procedure. Also keep thread updated, since I would like to know what it turned out to be.

It was the starter, removed it from above the engine, had to remove the fan and shroud and then put pressboard against the radiator so I didn't accidently bust it with my rachet

I am glad your Corolla keeps rolling down the roads and highways!
Also your way of changing the starter seems easier then my idea of removing the oil filter and doing the job from below the engine. Also protecting the radiator is a smart move.
