My drum brakes are squeaking and bordering on grinding when I'm just about to come to a stop.
A few weeks ago, the shoes were replaced on both right and the left drums. No problems prior to replacement. Only the left drum is squeaking. Also, the shoe only appears to be catching the drum on the top half of the shoe. The drum surface seems to be fine although I haven't resurfaced it.
What could be causing the shoe to catch/expand unevenly?
I have already bled the brakes and have replaced the brake fluid.
It's a pretty loud noise that resonates inside the car. Everything appears to be okay, except that the shoes are making contact unevenly.
