Maint required

I've only put 3000 miles on since I've had it...can't tell anything is wrong.Should I just try to shut it off somehow or get it checked out? what do you think? i read something in the manual that says after a required maintenance is done and after 5000 miles this light will come on. Little advice here thanks

assuming no issues, by default it comes on every 5k for oil change reminder

put odometer on "A" ,
hold odometer button in and turn key on but do not start
continue to depress odometer button and after a bit (30 secs or so it seems) the maint light will go out

light reset and good for another 5k

If you take note when it nears an oil change it will start to flash per miles. I like to say 1 flash per 100 miles, the closer it gets to the mileage it locks on the longer the light stays on so lets say you are at 4900 miles it will flash 9X. and during your ride that light will POP on do a flicker then stay on till you reset it.

My corolla's I own some are in Odometer only and ot hers in trip A . so all I d o is try in each Lol.

I see those dashes its going off Lol
