Keyless Entry

I have a 2003 Corolla LE and the people I bought the car from lost the Fob for the keyless entry. I called the dealership and they said it would cost about $110. My question is can I just buy a used one off of ebay and program it to my car? Thanks

I'm pretty certain you can. Just make sure the fob came from your year, as sometimes they change between years.

Check the manual, sometimes they will have a learn procedure in there for keyless entry fobs.

Suuuuure you can. Forget the dealer. You can find a good remote for $20 max on ebay. Then get the directions online and program the remote to the car by yourself. Make sure you get the right FCC number.

My wife's corolla had no remote either, so I bought one and fixed her up. I also programmed many cars for my family who would lose or break remotes.
