How do I delete text messages from car?

Hi i am new to the technology in my car. I have gone to youtube to find out but no luck. Maybe someone knows...
I have a Toyota Corolla 2015.
My text messages have been deleted from my phone but are still showing up on the screen in the car.... i looked for a delete button but nothing...i have shut of and put back on but still there..

please is there anyone that can help me with deleting the text messages on the screen in car?
any answer is appreciated greatly....thank you

Hehe if I'm not mistaken when you open msgs via the app in the car like pressing menu and then opening msg app there should be a settings icon available to select I'd say check there I don't have the factory radio anymore so I can't really say I remember 100%, I would also recommend checking YouTube to see if someone has an instruction video.
