Hi Everyone,
I'd love to ask for your help in diagnosing a problem with my 02 Corolla. About 4 months ago I was driving on the highway and it felt like I had a flat tire because my steering wheel started jerking to the left repeatedly.
I pulled over and the tires were fine. As I drove off, I noticed that the problem went away. I didn't experience the issue again until about 3 weeks ago. Again, driving down the highway, it felt like someone was taking the steering wheel and jerking it to the left repeatedly.
I stopped, put the car in park, then continued on and it resolved the problem. About a week later it did the same thing, but will not go away now.
The problem is now at the point where I cannot drive the car. ALSO during the last 2 months I have noticed a clicking sound when turning.
I know that the clicking is indicative of a bad cv joint, and I would assume that the other problem is indicative of a bad cv joint as well.
I just wanted to try to get confirmation or other ideas before making the repair only to find out it doesn't fix the problem.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
