Front Struts / Shocks Recommendations for 2005 Corolla CE

Hi there,

My 2005 has always taken a beating from the front suspension. The car is simply too stiff and doesn't absorb enough shock from the road. My interior has a tonne of creaks and snaps and with 150,000kms on the body, it's soon time to invest in new shocks/struts.

Any recommendations for non-OEM shocks/struts that would help to absorb more of the bumps? I'm not that concerned about "performance"--I simply want the car to be more comfortable to drive.

I'd say Monroe, if a smooth ride is what you are after.
