Factory USB port

#1
To anyone who replaced their stock stereo to aftermarket, how do you keep the USB port to work?
The stereo shop who installed Pioneer 8100NEX into my car can't find a USB retention for it.
Initially the shop bought PAC USB-TY1, but the plug is different even though they say on their website that it's compatible.

Please help!

What is the goal for the port? If its just for charging devices, that's an easy fix.
If you're looking for phone/tablet interface control, it's going to be a pain, slightly less if it's an Iwhatever since they like to cater to Apple, but will still need additional parts.
Pioneer has NEVER been an easy to use product.

The USB port is really not need in the car to begin with seeing that everything is bluetooth now a days lol. My installer after I had my Alpine Head unit put in, he installed an after market USB port that is hidden on the passenger side seat. Can't really notice it, but it's nice that I have the option to use it for charging if needed too.
