Engine oil shortage

I use a 2002 Toyota corolla in Nigeria and noticed frequent oil shortages before change of oil. Most time i need to top up to 2 litres. what should i do? secondly, what type engine oil is suitable for Nigeria hot temperature?

How hot does it get? And if you need to top off 2 liters of quart every time check if you have a leak somewhere

The 1zz engine is known to burn oil when it reaches 100,000 or more . What I did with my corolla was I went up to 10w40 and it brought down the burning a lot . Like 1 quart a month and I ran this car today it sits on 300,000 and still running . You might have to go 20w50 . But I would look for leaks first .
