Electric Connector

#1
Hello folks! hope all is well. i just changed my headlight last week and noticed that the connector was burned. i changed the bulb any way and everything seems to be fine even with this connector burned. am i supposed to be concerned or should i just let it go? is it something the car can live with or no?

a picture is attached below.

edit..well i am trying to attach a picture of my problem but this site will not let me upload any pic more than 19 kb in size. i am unable to reduce it to that size even with cropping the original pic.

thank you all for your replies.

This happened because the connector overheated. The connector overheated due to high resistance. Make sure that connector is clean (I mean super clean, ive seen connectors appear clean but you scrape them with a scalpel and they get brighter) and make sure it clips on tightly and that the latching mechanism is not broken.

Personally, I would change the connector out and solder in a new one. Rockauto.com usually carries these in stock for cheap.

As John stated, make sure the terminals are clean and free of corrosion or build-up from contaminants.
