Driver side splash guard

hi everyone! First time to post here. I was behind a construction truck that had a fine fall off the back of it and could not avoid running it over. I noticed the splash guard on the driver side is loose and hanging down. If I remove this and order the part, should I be good to drive with out it for a week or two before the part arrives. From what I gather it's fairly easy removal and install. Thanks in advance for any and all advice. My car is a 2009 Corolla Le

By splash guard, I'm guessing you mean the one underneath the front of the car. If so, you should be fine but before installing the new one, I'd wipe that area down first.

Check the existing piece out before ordering a new one. It might only have pulled loose from the plastic retaining plugs.
