Dash Cam Installed Finally!

I am looking to do this myself, I thought about pulling power from the map lights, any thoughts?

FYI, the aluminum foil didn't work.

No thoughts to where you pull the power from except to make sure it's a constant 12V source and it won't pop the fuse (I don't know what circuit the map light is on). I think I did mine to the tail lights (10A).

Sorry for the late reply. Mine is wired. I ran the wire up towards the sunroof and down the pillar. I thought about splicing wires but don't want to do anything too crazy as I might sell my car down the road.
