Custom Trunk Floor

So my latest project was making a wood floor for the trunk, I also put my sub in (have had it for a while). I bought the click style flooring, then put it together and traced the outline of the top floor mat on it, cut it out with a jig saw, added some bracing on the bottom (to make sure the slats don't come apart), then cut an access hole (for the space below). Mounted the access door with a piano hinge, just looks a little cleaner. Has anyone else done anything like this?

Looks amazing I made a new trunk board since my subs were really heavy, I think I want to do something like what you did now just don't think I can do the hatch lol

I like it. Very original.
You could use the stock piece as a base and template. Glue the wood down then flip it over to trim off the excess.

That's awesome! Only thing I'd change , if it were me, Is I'd display the amp in a neat setting also...I never liked Amps screwed to the speaker box ...But that wood is very cool !!

Looks nice but pretty messy, would change the color that will match the car or that speaker, because it looks like you removed from the kitchen, without offense. There are many ways to make it good, depends on if you are interested in it.
