I live in NE FL. Corollas are not in ads much. While, down in Orlando they are.
I have seen them priced at $15K, for a new one. Dealers where I live claim
that's not gonna happen. They want about $18K. That's a lot for what I
would call a compact economy car. Toyota cars & trucks have increased a
lot in price. I paid $7K for an 8100 truck in 1993. In 2002, I bought a Tacoma
for $11K. Now that same truck is $18K! In FL the tax is 7% and title fee is
$400....ouch that hurts.
Used prices are way out of sight. A 2 yr old Corolla, with 35K miles, is priced
at $15K. As much as a new one. This makes no sense to me. I think that's
a function of the large number of immigrants the US has every yr and a lot
more people with real bad credit.
Any ideas on how to get a low price on a new Corolla or Tacoma? I'm disabled and have a very limited income.
