Broken Dipstick Tube 2010 Corolla

I was changing the oil in my 2010 Corolla and when I went to pull out the dipstick half of the tube broke off. I have ordered a new one from a dealer but I have a couple of questions. Do these just press into the engine or is there a special tool needed to remove and install them? Also, it would appear that if I remove the intake manifold it will be much easier to install the tube. Should I also replace the manifold gasket if I remove the intake manifold?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

I have no idea on the dipstick tube. However when I removed the intake manifold to change the pcv valve I reused the gasket with no problem.

Thanks for the info.

So far I have been unable to pull the tube out but maybe I'm just not pulling hard enough. I'm going to give a dealer a call tomorrow and see what they say.

good luck, its always good to replaced gasket, unless its new or low miles ON vehicle !
