2004 Corolla 2.0 D-4D
Was hoping to flush through the clutch fluid.
The spanner I found in my tool kit is marked 7/16AF on the open end and 9mm on the closed end. It is too big.
What is the correct size and type?
Thanks!

On most cars they are usually 8mm or 10mm.

Our 2005 Corolla had 8mm brake fluid bleeder valves.

Make sure you start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder and then work your way towards the front driver side.

Your "Toyota Corolla Maintenance & Repair Guides" are excellent.
Better than the Haynes.
Cheers!

I have always thought that this is the correct sequence.

But I am confused by the advice in the Haynes Manual, Toyota Corolla 2002 to Jan 2007, Page 9-2.
Bleeding, Sequence
If the complete system is to be bled, then it should be done working in the following sequence:
a) Left-hand front brake
b) Right-hand front brake
c) Left-hand rear brake
d) Right-hand rear brake
