Aux Input to Head Unit

How would it be feasible to splice in a typical red/white rca aux cable to the back of the OEM aux assembly so I can run my phone through the stock aux input in the dash into my pioneer headunit? Anyone ever try this? Thanks.

thought about doing the same thing but seems time consuming(for me at least due to work) so never tried, instead installed this

Actually i have done this already in my 2010. Just pull the stock aux plug assebly out and CAREFULLY superglue the pioneer 3.5mm aux plug in its place. It was super easy and looks just like the stock piece ill take some pics and show ya
