Burning our corn as fuel is causing many problems for us -

1. Burning our food for fuel is causing food prices to skyrocket.

2. Ethanol causes approximately a 10% decrease in fuel economy, costing the average motorist hundreds of dollars more in fuel costs every year.

3. Decreasing fuel economy 10% also means 10% more fuel burned, which of course means a 10% increase in emissions.

4. Using ethanol with gasoline causes phase separation, where the ethanol separates from the gasoline, sinking to the bottom of the tank where it is drawn into the engine first, meaning the engine, (if it will even start), is running on almost pure ethanol which can cause burned valves inside the engine, causing very costly engine damage.

It is time to toss ethanol as a fuel onto the ash heap of history!
