Anyone ever find directions to program a new key

#1
I lost one of my 'chip' keyes many moons ago. I can buy a new remote generic key (Ebay) and have it cut for less than $10. I believe there are directions out there to program it to open/close doors etc. However, I never found directions to program the chip portion. The dealer is only interested in selling me a new key package that, as I recall was $300+ ....

It's not fair, but you have to go with the $300 programming package. Buying the key is no problem....but without the "secret" program from the dealership or certified locksmith...you're out of luck.

I had a GM vehicle many moons ago. It only had one key that was sold with the vehicle. I am the only one that drive's so I did not care until the fob broke apart. I bought one off ebay for cheap (made sure serial number matched) and I HAD to take it to the dealer to program. I DID NOT COST me $300 if I recall it cost maybe $60 to have it programmed (or less maybe).
