2016 Corolla Sport - update will not run - can’t play through USB

in the past few weeks there seems to be an update but it’s grayed out.
I used to be able to play music via USB . Now if I’m using the USB port it only charges and music comes out of my phone. I have to connect to Bluetooth which I do not want to do. When I do this it disconnects and we can next to my phone and I can never get it to work properly.
What do I need to do to run the update? Can anyone help with this ? thank you

You should still be under warranty, make an appointment with Toyota. They should have a hard copy of the update on a thumb drive. Don’t let them sell you a new radio either! Free replacement yes.
All assuming your still in warranty.

I dont think that USB port connects to the radio. I have to connect my phone by bluetooth to make hands free calls and play music.

If it’s out of warranty, go with an aftermarket unit. You’ll be happier in the long run.
