2014 Corolla - Locks Me Out

I'm not really sure why this happens. It has locked me out several times. The key in the switch, not running. Lucky I keep a spare key in my pocket now. It only locks the front doors though. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

It don't happen all the time. Just on occasions.

That's not supposed to happen.

In my 2008 Matrix, if I tried to lock the doors with the key in the ignition, the doors would lock then immediately unlock, regardless if I used the mechanical switch or the electrical switch. All modern Toyota vehicles do this.

Sounds like a problem with an alarm perhaps?

My '99 4Runner did this too so it's a post-modern Toyota thing too :laughing:

There's a setting on your radio touch screen where you can turn off automatic lock doors. It did that to me too because default setting it automatically locks after 90 seconds but you can set it to "never"
