2014 Corolla - 225/40/18?

#1
Hello everyone,
Just picked up a used 2014 Corolla LE 2 weeks ago. Looking for some summer wheels since she came with the stock 16s and hubcaps. Ideally, would like to go 18s, but am not opposed to getting a set of the oem 17s off an S, from ebay, etc. Question is, is anyone running 18s in 225/40/18 size tire? If I were to do 18s, this is the tire size I prefer overall. Also, Is the suspension ride height the same on the S model as the LE? Really like the way the oems look, especially on super white.

Im coming from an 02 Lexus IS300. That's the size I had on her last, and it seemed to be a good compliment of sport, comfort, look. I know most places like tire rack recommend 215/40/18 for the Corolla, but figured going up one would give me more beef incase of potholes, etc.

Am looking at these tires, and these wheels if I do go aftermarket. The tires seem to have good reviews, and have had a good amount of success with Firestone in the past. Also waiting to see if I can score some oem 17s w/tires from one of my sources for a decent price.

Going from a 215 width to 225 width won't help for potholes much as going from a 40 series to a 45 series ... but then that throws your speedometer off until you have the dealer reprogram it.
